All the students had lots of stories to tell about their host families. Most enthousiastic, others a bit (culture) shocked. Some had a X-box to play with others had to be quiet after 22:00 o'clock. Pizza was on most menus.
After a diversion caused by a traintunnel which did not fit our coach we arrived in Canterbury on time for our (audio) tour through the famous cathedral. All set out with an audio device which was set up against our ear. Lots of spectaculair architecture, mystical stories and devine interpretations were shown inside.
A short break gave us the opportunity to do some shopping in the nice little town Canterbury is. Starbuck had the right carrotcake and glazed topped doughnuts.
In the afternoon Chausers Canterbury Tales were displayed and told in a special theme exhibition. Outside Canterbury we visited a special pub mentioned in one of these Tales: The White Horse Inn. Not a normal regular pub but an ancient haunted pub. Scary stories about how old the pub was and which murderes were still haunting the place made us decide to take our coach back to London.
Another beautiful day without rain and lots of sunshine (21 C).
