In the morning we had 2 different programs: Chelsea Football Stadium & Science museum.
The stadium made clear that England is all about football. In the middle of the neighbourhood it is right there in the community as a very important part of every day life. All the big stars are celebrated heroes. Fanstastic records and a very entertaining tour guide.
Adventure really started when we took the Underground to Buckingham Palace. We allmost lost a few students who were too fast and almost took the wrong train. Getting off at South Kensington to switch lines and out at Hyde Park Corner.
At the palace we met up again with the Science group to split up again in two completely different interest groups: Hamleys (THE biggest Toyshop) & Primark (fashion). Walking these distances through the big city is for some a huge accomplishment. There was lots to see: Piccadilly Circus with its Eros statue and big billboards signs, SOHO and Chinatown.
Half an hour was too short to stay in Hamleys, SO we extended our stay with another half hour. On Covent Garden with all its shops and streetartists there was enough to see at the end of the afternoon. We were complete again as a group to go to Leicester Square and have our Dinner. Macdonald and KFC were most popular.
The big finale was of course The Lion King. The musical was the highlight of the week. Beautiful costumes and backgrounds made the whole performance a joy to watch. Happy and satisfied we found are way back to the bus where we returned for our last night here in London.
Tomorrow we will come back to Emmen and we will tell you what happened during our last day and also during the week what you have not read about. Thank you for following us. Until we meet again.
